This announcement is for position of School Psychologist in the Rome City School district for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a 210 day position. Rome City Schools is home to six elementary schools, one middle school and one high school in Rome, Georgia, approximately 65 miles NW of Atlanta. The candidates selected for this position must hold the appropriate Georgia Professional Standards Commission's certificate in School Psychology. The candidates selected must also have excellent references; ability to complete the results of comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations; develop reports and interpret the results of psycho-educational evaluations; assist the IEP committee in determining eligibility for special education; assist in the RTI and SST processes by providing research based intervention recommendations and appropriate progress monitoring tools; provide consultation to parents, students, teachers, administrators and other professionals to enhance student learning and achievement; provide crisis intervention support as needed; and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
